Effie Liu, AKA Bebe Panthere, writes dance-inducing electro pop tunes that capitalize on bubblegum sweet vocal melodies, hip-hop cadences, and the spoken word playfulness of New Wave. It comes as no surprise that her hair is dyed a dazzling neon pink, as it’s a direct reflection of the bright vibes permeating through her music. Her debut EP, Pink Sweat, was released in late October, and it’s a collection of fresh, edgy tracks that any Talking Heads / Chromeo fans will immediately connect with.
