Behind the scenes of Kate Clover’s “Crimewave”

Kate Clover toes the line between fiction and reality with her latest music video “Crimewave”, directed by Ambar Navarro. Shot on 16mm, the video is a satirical look at the role of cops and “crime” in both modern America and alludes to government control historically — all set to shredding guitars, a grooving bassline, and an energy that seems like it could light the room on fire out of pure will alone. And while playful in her delivery, Kate Clover makes her feelings abundantly clear.

Kate Clover and her band have lots in the works — an upcoming tour, a potential full length release — but if one thing’s for sure, there will be more whip-smart, garage rock redefined coming our way in the future.

Check out some behind the scenes shots taken by director Ambar Navarro and PA Vanessa Castelan from the shoot below.
