BRIAN’S LIST: SHOWCASING THE BEST DEALS AND INTERESTING FINDS IN MUSICAL EQUIPMENT IN NEW YORK CITY.
Here is a HOT one! If I had the cash I would buy this guy up right now! A beautiful tobacco burst loaded with 2 gold foils and a golden Bigsby, yes please. Original pickguard, tail piece, bridge and case included folks! The case is original but it is just a chipboard one – I’d invest in a real hard case – hollowbodys are fragile!

Seller is willing to trade for the right Fender – what do you have laying around??
Location: Manhattan
1971 Guild D25BR Acoustic – $600
Nice deal on a really clean vintage Guild acoustic here! No cracks, breaks and dings on this one – really solid strummer the seller says. This guitar is all mahogany, which I love, giving it a nice midge-range vibe.

There was some bridge work done on it – probably for the better. Go see about it!
Location: Greenpoint, Brooklyn
1962 Silvertone 1472 AMP – $335
Here’s a cool little amp for your bedroom and recording – hell even live for a lower volume band! Packing 12 watts of power thru the original 12″ Jensen speaker – this is a “champ killer”! You can date your Jensen speaker by the code seen on the rim of the speaker. In this case it is 220244 – the 22 means it is a Jensen, the 02 means the year it was made (you have to estimate the decade, 1950’s, 60’s, 70’s) and 44 refers to the week of that year. So the production date on this speaker was the last week in October, 1962!

Featuring all NOS tubes and wooden baffle added for better speaker efficiency. There is an issue with the tremolo – for this price and the simplicity of the amp you can’t go wrong throwing a few bucks into it. And I know just the guy who will make this amp SING! Check Jef out below!
Location: Downtown Brooklyn

Tips: Find something on Brian’s List but the link has since expired? This doesn’t mean the item has been sold. It just means the seller did not repost the item in time. If it is an item you are really excited about; search craigslist for it using bold terms (model name etc). It could have been reposted under a different link or a new post altogether (updated pics, info etc.) If it is not sold it will pop up again in the next few days. Don’t sweat it.
In the case of something you are seriously considering, it’s good to make initial contact with the seller even if you can’t immediately purchase the item or make it out to where ever it is located right away. This could help you too build a relationship with the seller and he/she may hold it for you over someone else until you are ready. But as we all know- CASH IS KING.
