Decolonise Fest will create space for punx of color online this year

With real-life, in-person festivals still indefinitely canceled, organizers are coming to these new terms and switching to online streaming instead. Starting today and going through Sunday, Sept 6th, Decolonise Fest will be taking their programming online for 2020 in order to maintain their mission for creating space for punx of color. London-based Decolonise Fest is run by volunteers, activists, militant community organizers, musicians, and artists of color. You can snag some tickets here – they’re free but donations are encouraged if you’re able to help support this celebration of BIPOC voices in the punk scene across the world. Check out the schedule below for more info on the panels; performances from New Orleans punks Special Interest, Kenyan rock band Crystal Axis, and more; and workshops being held throughout the week.

You can find more extensive info on the organization and have a look into pas events here: Facebook // Twitter // Instagram // YouTube // decolonise.org.uk
