If there was one show I would recommend going to this month it’s Naomi Punk, PC Worship and Maria Chavez at the Park Church Co-op. All three performers are examples of what New York’s music scene can churn out when it’s at it’s best. The internet aversive Naomi Punk (who haven’t released anything since 2014’s Television Man) are one of the most subversive, raw and destructive bands around making the juxtaposition of the church setting even more interesting. Playing alongside them is PC Worship, which you may recognize as one half of the Dull Tools supergroup PCPC. Lastly, there’s sound artist Maria Chavez who I honestly have no idea what to expect of.
Basically it sounds like an intense night of off the walls performances from some of the most mysterious bands around.
