New York-based theatre company Utopia for Losers will debut its newest production by María Irene Fornés, “MUD,” on June 26 at the American Theatre of Actors.
The provocative play explores themes of the complicated realities of human connection, including escape, aspiration, and the hope of freedom. The 17-scene drama focuses on a woman, Mae, who navigates leaving a shady relationship and moves in with three roommates, who come to face a new chaos.
“MUD” is directed by Dylan Pitanza, and Chloe Margot plays Mae.
The first preview of the play is on June 26. It officially premieres on June 27 and closes on June 29.
