Mississippi country rapper Big K.R.I.T. slows it down for the first single off his upcoming sophomore LP, Cadillactica, which features hip-hop powerhouse Rick Ross. With Ross producing his new album, we don’t need any more convincing he is past underground rap — his new track, “New Agenda” has suggested just that. For his new LP, Big K.R.I.T. has changed his game once again with this smooth country rap jam that we can’t get enough of. Following Southern rappers before him, he has remained true to his Meridian, Mississippi roots. He raps about southern cooking and growing up down South, which adds to his popularity and resurgence of mainstream Southern Hip-Hop. Dubbed “The Week of K.R.I.T.,” the rapper will continue to release a new song off his album every day through Sunday. We can’t wait to hear what other surprises the “1 Train” rapper has up his sleeve when his album drops this fall on Def Jam.
