The moody guitar riffs and down-tempo drumming give the song a somber slant, providing the perfect foundation for Tom Christie (bassist in QUARTERBACKS) and his almost-whispered vocals. The choruses, in turn, are refreshing surges of energy, with faster drum work and an additional female vocal harmony, which all heightens the intensity of self-reflection and hooks the listener in.
