I have never thought of disco as both danceable and effortlessly understated, but Habibi seems to have accomplished the impossible with their latest “Somewhere They Can’t Find Us”. Between an unshakeable groove, syncopated drums, atmospheric sirens and heavy breathing, and vocals that float between spoken word and lofty coos, the band has created a whole new world to exist within in the span of three minutes.
