Falling off the release of their August single“ Emotional High,” Philadelphia’s, Mannequin Pussy drops their bass- heavy visceral anthem, “Romantic.” Despite the tracks fringed sound, singer, Marisa Dabice’s squeaky voice and powerful wails emphasize the songs subtle vulnerability. The short single explores heartbreak in the most virtuous fashion forcefully wailing at the climax of the song, “I’m in Hell.” There is something quite romantic about this quartet masterfully perfecting relationships through punk. “Romantic’s” brutally sweet intentions personify the bands character and suggest you “listen to the song with good headphones.”
