You may have heard already, but Sky Ferreira is cool with the fact that the uncharacteristically stripped-down (and pretty!) “Rancid Girl” was leaked online the other day. A collaboration between Ferreira, Jon Brion, Cass McCombs, and Blake Mills, it originally hit the cutting-room floor during the production of last year’s Night Time, My Time, but now it’s out there in the ether. Somehow, “ether” sounds like an appropriate word-choice for a song that’s at once delicate and fraught.
