Listen: SQÜRL “Francine Says”

SQÜRL, DIY director Jim Jarmusch’s dark, noisy trio, released the gently droning “Francine Says,” a single from their third and final EP in a series that was first started in 2013. It’s a moody track that chugs along in a stonerish malaise, capitalizing on fuzzed out guitars and psychedelic, reverb-heavy melodies — and it really hits that sweet spot between frustration, contentment, and apathy. Between this and their award-winning soundtrack to Only Lovers Left Alive, 2014 has been a solid year for SQÜRL.

EP #3 drops from All Tomorrow’s Parties worldwide November 17 and November 18 in the US and Canada.
