Mixtape: Sweater Weather

“Life starts all over again when the leaves get crisp in the fall.”

F. Scott Fitzgerald was definitely onto something. Temperatures go from balmy to cool, bright colors fade into warm tones of amber and suddenly everything feels new again. A brisk breeze is like a cleanser for hazy summer souls. Maybe it all connects back to those ~September butterflies~ …the fresh smell of squeaky shoes, the sound of brown crinkly paper bag lunches. Forget January. Autumn brings the New Year.

Then, before even a blink, November turns into December. Temperatures go from cool to frosty, warm tones of amber lighten to a varied palette of greys and whites and just like that you can see your breath. Winter’s really the only season that sticks around long enough for you to notice both the good and bad parts of it: snow angels vs. frost bite,  getting drunk fireside vs. getting the flu, etc.

Chilly days call for cozy nights and these moments were made for music. The good kind. To prove it, we curated a mixtape of new and old tracks that pair well with subzero road trips, big sweaters, spiked eggnog, chill parties, and beyond.

Give it a spin, below.
