Goodbye Honolulu is one of those bands that you’re like “dang, I wanna party with these gents.” This makes all the sense in the world when you realize that they’re pals and tour buddies with HINDS, who’ve built a massive following on their infectious songwriting, yes, but also their super cheery, loud, and fun presence on stage and off. Goodbye Honolulu is the same way, you just might not hear their names quite as often.
This new video for “U Got It” showcases the first single since the band’s two “Honey” EPs No Honey and More Honey. It full of setting things on fire, cruising around town with the dudes, vandalism for the heck of it… at one point someone gets kidnapped. Why? Not sure, but also, why not? Which is also the feeling you’d get from one of their live shows: if it feels right, then why not? It’s all in the name of a good time and a good tune.
Watch the video for this sweet single and get stoked to see them scream at you live next time they’re in town, which is hopefully soon.
