Listen: The Prettiots “Stabler” (An Ode to SVU)

The Prettiots are known for their cute lo-fi pop and recently dropped their new jam, “Stabler,” an ode to their favorite SVU character Elliot Stabler. With an ‘as if’ attitude, this band brings back the nostalgia of 90’s alt girls with their pop inspired riffs and witty lyrics. Their latest track “Stabler” turns detective Eliot Stabler into a prince charming  of their SVU dreams. With versus like “you left your finger prints all over my mind” you can’t help but agree with their chorus line “boy you are my savior, you are my Elliot Stabler.” This track a must listen for any SVU fan. Listen to the “Stabler” below and scroll through some of Kay and Lu’s favorite episodes.

Lu’s Picks

Season 6 Episode 3, “911”

This has always been my favorite episode, as well as favorite season. I really don’t have an in depth explanation for it. It’s a completely different set up though. The entire episode takes place out of the SVU HQ while Benson [dressed in heels and a dress] is on the phone with a kidnapped girl. There’s also a part at the end that gives me full body chills every time I watch it. You’ll know it when you see it.

Season 8 Episode 4 “Uncle”

Well Jerry Lewis plays a homeless man [who is also Munch’s Uncle] so…

Kay’s picks

Season 11, Episode 13 “P.C.”

This episode is amazing because it starts out with this really dark spooky vampire storyline and then develops into this politically aware gay rights drama featuring Kathy Griffen as an outspoken but secretly tormented gay rights activist and there is a lot of steamy tension between her and Benson who is assigned to her 24 hour watch.

Season 2, Episode 13 “Runaway”

This episode is cool because it was really early on and you can tell they were still playing around with the format of the show. This particular one develops over a series of interviews with the internal affairs bureau, but also features and incredible scene where Olivia, Fin, Stabler and Munch go under cover at a rave.

Season 7, Episode 1 “Demons”

This episode is also a favorite because it involves Elliott Stabler going undercover, this time as a pedophile.
