Tour Diary: On the road with Justus Proffit

After collaborating with Jay Som, Justus Proffit has released his debut LP L.A.’s Got Me Down and toured the west coast in support of it; appropriately so as the album centers around the less than glamorous stories that are all to prevalent in the city of angels. Like the love child of Elliot Smith and Mike Krol, west coast grunge and fuzzed out garage-punk intermingle in a deeply personal and visceral record. Even though the album centers around darkness, there’s a lightness that manages to permeate throughout.

Bella Vallero joined the Justus Proffit touring party for the west coast leg. Check out the shots below.
