Watch: Amen Dunes “Lonely Richard”

As it was put in an interview we did with Amen Dunes a few months back, the band “has a knack for music that forces trancelike introspection or solipsism.” The band’s latest music video for “Lonely Richard” certainly extends that aesthetic, which already exists in the song itself, with dream-like frames of the everyday and dwellers of urban America. It contrasts green jungles with metal ones, and grooves along to the beat of the lonesome traveler that appears to the viewer as mystic, free, and true. It echoes the cinematic vibes of Beck’s video for “Loser” some twenty years later, but instead comforts you and whispers in your ear to escape the superficial skyscrapers of New York City and find peace among the pines. Watch below.

Love is out now on Sacred Bones Records.
