Ariel Pink’s creepy new video for “Picture Me Gone,” a single from his upcoming album pom pom, follows three masked women (some played by men) as they go through the motions of yet another underwhelming Los Angeles day. Shots of a singing and pained Pink are peppered throughout the haunting narrative, offering viewers a more direct insight into the three characters and their struggles. Accentuated by Pink’s swirling, psychedelic noise pop, this video has an emotional undercurrent that you may never completely figure out yet somehow understand it all anyway.
