Just in time for Halloween, FKA twigs has released a spidery, black and white video for “Video Girl,” a single from her debut LP1. The video opens with twigs standing on the observation side of a prison execution as her gospel-esque melody lays the foundation for the rest of the dark R&B track. A montage of dance sequences, bloodied mouths, and lethal injection follows, but it’s this muse’s sensuality and commanding presence that ultimately hypnotizes the viewer.
