Cowboys, rodeos and open plains aren’t exactly the first thing you think of when you hear the Baltimore based band Future Islands. That certainly didn’t stop them from making a video featuring just those things for their new song, “Seasons (Waiting On You).” It’s the first track we’ve heard off their new album, Singles, which will be their first on label 4AD. The video largely features a glimpse into the life of one particular cowboy and his family. His life almost seems too perfect for a band that has live in the realm of unrequited love for so long. In fact, the lyrics are largely about this exact type of thing. The video is beautifully shot by Jay Buim, though, and regardless of whether the theme of the song and it’s video sync up, they are both excellent works. Watch below.
