It took all of three years for Jersey jangle jocks Real Estate to devise a follow-up to their triumphant sophomore album Days (featuring that damn infectious pop nugget “It’s Real”). Well, the boys are back and there’s a dim chance that their latest dose of mellow psych-rock will be vacating your cerebellum anytime soon. “Talking Backwards,” the debut single off the quintet’s third LP exceeds expectations and lays new groundwork for the chill-rock adventurers. The track is rimmed with RL’s trademark chirpiness and driven by a gloriously suave beach bum hook. Watch the music video below.
