Ryan Hemsworth just dropped a music video for “Snow in Newark,” which is the first single off of Alone for the First Time, his upcoming second album. Opening with an electronic phone message, dissonant chords, and a shot of Hemsworth having his head shaved, the video is a somber exploration of Nepal, from its city squares and temples to its lush countryside. This dreamy, introspective adventure was directed by Martin C. Pariseau, who encapsulated the tenderness and desperation of Hemsworth’s music and lyrics with simple but striking visuals.
