Listen: Damaged Bug “The Mirror”

We just had news detailing the return of psyche rock moguls Thee Oh Sees in May with what’s set to be the band’s sixth full-length via founding member and Castle Face co-founder John Dwyer. Turns out he also has a side project by the name of Damaged Bug, who, following the release of The Oh Sees’ Mutilator Defeated At Last, will be releasing a new album titled Cold Hot Plumbs. “The Mirror” – accompanied by its rather morbid, albeit prismatic art work you can see above is rather a bizarre affair considering Dwyer’s typical guitar focus. A skewed and twisted high end synth run colliding with a grubby bass proves a delightfully quaint lo-fi treat from the Rhode Island native’s most busy musician. As with the great Thee Oh Sees, be sure to look forward to this release, too. Listen to the track here. Cold Hot Plumbs is June 1 via Castle Face.
